Renee Morton is the founder and principal broker of Morton Mortgage, Inc., bringing decades of high-level executive leadership, international trade expertise, and strategic business management to the mortgage industry. Prior to establishing Morton Mortgage, Renee built and operated a premier sales and marketing firm specializing in the global launch and distribution of luxury imported products from France, Spain, Italy, and England.
Throughout her career, Renee directed international business development, global supply chain sourcing, product development, and import/export compliance. She collaborated directly with foreign brand owners, product developers, and corporate buyers to expand high-end lines into premier luxury department stores, including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom. In addition to managing executive relationships across exclusive specialty retailers, Renee directed widespread commercial distribution across approximately 800 major grocery locations, including Kroger, Randalls, H-E-B, and Albertsons.
Today, Renee applies this same level of executive sophistication, negotiation rigor, and global perspective to residential and commercial lending. Leveraging an extensive wholesale lender network and deep real estate acumen, she delivers highly customized, strategic financing solutions designed to protect and build her clients' long-term financial wealth.
On a personal level, Renee is the proud mother of three adult children and a grandmother. All three of her children gained valuable professional experience working alongside her in the business during high school, and both of her daughters went on to become licensed loan officers at a young age before transitioning into new career paths two years ago.
A proud Texas A&M graduate, Chelsea Medina - Nelson earned her Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems (MIS), completing extensive coursework in Business Finance, Systems Analysis & Design, Database Management, Data Communications & Networks, and Web-Enabled Applications. She began her career as an IT Systems Analyst for General Motors at their Innovation Center in Austin, Texas. Seeking a career aligned with her passion for client relationship management, she joined Morton Mortgage, Inc., where she undertook rigorous, hands-on mentorship directly alongside Owner and Broker Renee Morton.
Before originating her own loans, Chelsea served as a Loan Processor and Loan Officer Assistant during a period of exceptional high-volume production. Managing complex file pipelines and underwriting conditions under Renee's direct guidance provided Chelsea with an elite foundation in guidelines, compliance, and loan structuring—setting her apart from traditional originators. Today, as a licensed Residential Mortgage Loan Originator, Chelsea brings unmatched analytical precision, technical systems expertise, and deep personal care to every transaction.
Outside of her professional work, Chelsea is married and raising three small children, giving her a deep personal connection to the meaning of home and family.
With extensive expertise in residential mortgage processing, Sue Benedict manages loan file coordination and underwriting compliance for Morton Mortgage, Inc. She works directly with borrowers, lenders, and real estate partners to collect documentation, clear conditions, and ensure a seamless path to closing. Her thorough understanding of strict guideline standards guarantees efficiency and precision throughout the loan lifecycle.
